Subject Info The Common Blue Butterfly occurs throughout the British Isles and most of Europe, and is one of the most common and widespread of the 'Blue' butterflies. In Britain it favours open grassy meadows but can often be seen in deciduous woodlands. Larva feeds on various clovers and vetches.
