Subject Info

The Marbled White is a common butterfly in rough grassland habitats in southern Britain and most of central Europe. Adults can be seen in the middle summer. Larva feeds on various grasses.

Photographed with a tripod-mounted Nikon F801 camera with 105mm Micro-Nikkor lens, taken at about 1/30th sec and f4, on Fujichrome Velvia film at ISO 50 and processed normally. No filters used.
