Subject Info

The Silver-studded Blue occurs throughout most of Europe but only mainly in the southern counties of Britain, where it can be found in close association with grassy heathland habitats. Larva feeds on various Leguminous plants, terfoils, Ling, Bilberry.

Photographed with a hand-held Nikon F801 camera with 105mm Micr-Nikkor lens, lit by single TTL flash on bracket, taken at about 1/250th sec and f8, on Fujichrome Velvia film at ISO 50 and processed normally. No filters used.
